Penn joins DES
The University of Pennsylvania has joined the DES.

The list of scientists that have joined the project
include Mariangela Bernardi, Gary Bernstein, Mark Devlin, Larry Gladney,
Bhuvnesh Jain, Mike Jarvis, Raul Jimenez, Masao Sako, Ravi Sheth, and
Licia Verde.
The Penn group expects to work on the science software, including PSF shape measurements, galaxy shapes and morphologies, and automated measurement and classification of transients.
The science working groups are looking forward to the participation of the Penn scientists, particularily at the weak lensing working group meeting in Chicago in December.
